KNOXVILLE (WATE) - An electrical problem caused the fire that severely damaged a deli in Fountain City Sunday night, according to the Knoxville Fire Department.
The arson division says the fire appears to have started near a bathroom exhaust fan in the ceiling at the rear of the restaurant.
The deli, which is located on N. Broadway, does not plan to reopen.
The manager of Nixon's had just closed for the evening Sunday and left the premises when the fire started.
