BARBOURVILLE (WATE) - Kentucky authorities are looking for the thief or thieves who stole thousands of dollars of equipment from a construction site.
Barbourville police say crews made the discovery when they came to work at the old Knox County, Kentucky hospital site Wednesday morning. They say $50,000 worth of equipment was taken including small tools and large industrial saws.
Police say the thief or thieves cut the gate lock, broke into a building and then cut the lock off the equipment storage room door.
They say the stolen items would not normally be seen or sold outside the construction business and should be easily identified when out of place.
