KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A fundraiser for a young Knox County cancer patient is being called a success.
Froyoz locations around Knoxville donate a portion of their profits over the last week to Sarah Davis, 27, a breast cancer patient. The fundraiser hit its goal of $25,000 which will go to special therapy for Sarah.
Froyoz presented a check to Sarah Thursday afternoon. She said she was almost overcome with emotion. "I am trying not to cry and feeling very overwhelmed and very blessed that this opportunity has come along to me."
You can still help Sarah. A fundraiser is being held next Friday, June 29th through Sunday, July 1st at Salsarita's. Fifteen-percent of the sales between 11:00am and 9:00pm will go towards Sarah's treatment just be sure to mention Sarah Davis's name.
