KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Officials say preliminary autopsy results released Friday indicate a murder-suicide in the deaths of a UT football player's mother and her long-time boyfriend.

According to the sheriff's office, it appears to the medical examiner that Alan Ollis, 50, shot and killed Cindy Jo Flanary, 48, and then himself at their Grove Lake Way apartment in West Knox County.

The autopsy showed Ollis shot Flanary once in the head, then shot himself once in the head. There were no signs of a struggle.

Flanary's son, UT defensive lineman Daniel Hood, found the bodies on Wednesday.

The preliminary investigation found that Hood's grandmother asked him to check on his mother because she hadn't been able to get in touch with her for several days.

The sheriff's office says the bodies appeared to have been in the apartment since late Sunday night or early Monday morning.

According to a tweet from Daniel Hood Friday afternoon, funeral arrangements have been made for his mother. A funeral mass is scheduled for Monday, June 25 at 7:00 p.m. at All Saints Catholic Church in Knoxville.
