KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A local manufacturer gave plenty of help to the Love Kitchen on Wednesday morning.
Gerdau's construction products location donated more than 1,000 pounds of food to the Knoxville non-profit. The twin sisters who co-founded the ministry, Helen Ashe and Ellen Turner, accepted the donation.
The company spent more than a month gathering supplies.
"Lord, you just don't know what a blessing you have done for us today," Ashe said as the donation was delivered. "We just bless you all. It makes you feel good."
The Love Kitchen provides meals, clothing and emergency food packages to the homebound, homeless and the unemployed.
