KNOXVILLE (WATE) - The Knox County Grand Jury indicted a man on charges of killing his girlfriend and their toddler daughter on Easter Sunday.

Jorge Alberto Molina-Rivera was indicted on June 19 on three counts of first degree murder and felony murder. He's accused of strangling Nolvia Aguilera, 25, and their daughter, three-year-old Allison Aguilera, with a rope after an argument.

Officers who responded to a 911 call found their bodies in a van parked at a construction site on Rogers Island Lane, where Molina-Rivera was part of the crew.

The sheriff's office said Molina-Rivera also attempted to kill himself. He was treated for several cuts to his arms and neck and taken into custody.
