WASHBURN (WATE) - Deputies from the Grainger County Sheriff's Department went to a home in Powder Springs to arrest a man for violation of probation Thursday.
What they found, however, was 15 marijuana plants.
A Sheriff's Department arrest reports states Pamela Arnwine Loy, 53, is charged with felony manufacture of a controlled substance.
Two officers arrived at the home at 2119 Round Barn Road to serve a Knox County violation of probation to Ronald Arnwine.
The two officers split up, with one patrolling the homes rear door so Arnwine could not escape.
That is when the officer spotted about 17 marijuana plants, the report states. Grainger County Sheriff Scott Layle later changed that total to 15 plants.
Layle also states this adds to the over 1,300 drug indictments served in Grainger County in the last two years. This total is more than the last three Grainger County Sheriff's combined, Layle said.
Loy is set to appear in Grainger County Sessions Court July 10.
