SEVIERVILLE (WATE) - An early morning fire Sunday destroyed a closed restaurant in Sevierville.
Sevier County officials say emergency personnel responded to a fire at 1426 Winfield Dunn Parkway around 7:30 a.m. Sunday.
The empty building was formerly Walt's Fish Company. It was for sale.
Officials say the building was a total loss. The blaze was extinguished around 10:30 a.m.
A Sevier County EMS member was taken to LeConte Medical Center with a heat related illness.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
