GREENEVILLE (WATE) - Authorities are seeking a man who fired a shot when he robbed a bank in Greeneville Monday morning.

The man entered Greeneville Federal Bank, 2305 E. Andrew Johnson Highway, at 11:42 a.m. showed a firearm, demanded money and fired his weapon. He received an undetermined amount of money.

Witnesses described the robber as white and between 5'10 to 6' with a medium build. 

He wore a dark-colored hoodie, dark-colored pants, dark sunglasses, white latex gloves and a mask.

The suspect may have left in a newer body-style, full-size, standard cab Chevrolet pickup truck. The FBI says the truck may have been black with body damage on the right rear quarter panel.
