GREENEVILLE (WATE) - A federal jury on June 29 convicted a Morristown man on cocaine and firearms charges.
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Richard Gaudio, 55, sold cocaine to a confidential informant working for law enforcement three times from May to June 2011.
In June 2011, officers who searched Gaudio's home found four prepackaged baggies of cocaine on a table a few feet from a gun safe.
A fully loaded 9mm Glock was found in a bedroom drawer, close to the cocaine.
Officers also found a bowl with a white powder residue substance, a set of digital scales, baggies and a loaded .25 caliber handgun in the gun safe, along with two rifles, a shotgun and assorted ammunition.
Officials say Gaudio confessed to officers that he was selling cocaine.
Gaudio is scheduled to be sentenced on January 7.
