LAFOLLETTE (WATE) - A Speedwell man drowned Tuesday night while swimming with family and friends in Norris Lake.
He was identified as David Asmus, 49.
Campbell County deputies say they were called to Fox Cove Lane in LaFollette around 6:00 p.m.
They say Asmus was climbing on rocks and dove into the water. Deputies believe he hit a rock or something else and did not come to the surface.
Rescuers were able to recover his body.
