HARROGATE (WATE) - A severe storm Thursday night left the Lincoln Memorial University campus littered with fallen trees, broken limbs and other debris.

Officials said no one was injured. A film crew from the University's Sigmon Communications Center captured a lot of raw footage during the storm.

There are widespread downed trees and damage to several LMU buildings.

A window was blown out of the Schenck Center, which houses classroom and office space for the School of Allied Health Sciences.

Farr-Chinnock Hall and Grant-Lee Hall both have roof damage. Farr-Chinnock, which formerly housed science labs and classrooms and is under renovation to become the new home to the J. Frank White Academy, bore the brunt of the damage.

The outdoor batting cages near the Lamar Hennon Baseball Field were also damaged.

"Our maintenance and grounds crews are working diligently to return our campus to its normal operating condition," said LMU President B. James Dawson in a press release. "We were fortunate that the most extensive damage was sustained to our landscaping."

LMU is working with insurance adjustors to determine the value of the damage.

Grounds crews were on the job before 8:00 a.m. Friday, accessing damage and blocking areas for safety purposes.
