KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Two people are dead after colliding with a tree on Middlebrook Pike Saturday morning.
Knoxville Police Department officials say a 24-year-old man and his 17-year-old passenger swerved off the westbound lane of the roadway near Weisgarber Road at 6:21 a.m.
The pair's 2000 Toyota Camry struck a tree in the median at 6211 Middlebrook Pike. Both were found dead at the scene.
The identities of the individuals have yet to be released. Police say the investigation is on-going.
