KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Three restaurants scored health inspection grades in the low 60s this week.

Some of the critical violations noted at the low scoring restaurants this week were the result of careless errors that can add up to a low health inspection score.

Go Bananaz Cafe, 11151 Kingston Pike - Grade: 61

A grade below 70 is considered unsanitary by the health department.

The county health inspector reported watching a kitchen worker rinse off and dry a knife, then put it in a drawer without first washing and sanitizing it, as is supposed to be done.

Several dirty knives were found stored in the knife drawer with clean knives.

A bottle of Windex cleaner had been stored over rice. That's the wrong place to store chemical cleaners. An accidental squirt of the chemical sprayed onto the rice likely wouldn't taste good.

Also, employee keys and phones were stored on food shelves. Again, that's the wrong place in a professional kitchen.

Go Bananaz Cafe was reinspected and received a much higher 74.

Cruze Dairy Farm Mobile Unit - Grade: 61

Milk was found not stored at the proper temperature. A temperature of 41 or below is required.

The inspector reported watching an employee enter the truck and begin preparing food without first washing her hands.

An employee's medicine was found stored in the wrong place. All personal items at a restaurant are supposed to be kept in separate area to avoid mistakes.

Gettysvue Country Club, 9317 Linksvue Drive - Grade: 64

Hamburger meat wasn't at temperature when the inspector checked the kitchen at Gettysvue, but it was rapidly chilled to 41 degrees "on the spot."

An employee was observed lining a garbage container, then touching clean equipment without first washing his hands.

Gettysvue was reinspected and given a respectable 83.
