Nearly half million high chairs being recalled for design flaw

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WATE) - Nearly half a million high chairs are being recalled after a design flaw led to children getting cuts and bruises.

The problem with the Chicco Polly high chairs are the pegs on the rear legs. They were meant for tray storage, but there have been multiple reports of injuries caused by the pegs.

The high chairs were sold from January 2005 through this month online and at major retailers including Babies R Us, Buy Buy Baby and Toys R Us. There are 26 chair models involved. Those model numbers are posted on the Consumer Product Safety Commission website along with how consumers can get a free repair kit.
