OAK RIDGE (WATE) - A fight between two Oak Ridge men ended Friday night when one was stabbed with a sword and the other arrested.
Oak Ridge police
say the fight took place at an apartment on Van Hicks Road.
When police arrived around 9:15 p.m. they found Michael Showalter, 30, with a stab wound. He was taken to UT Medical Center for treatment and later released.
Jeffrey Smith, 30, was arrested and is being held in the Anderson County Detention Facility on charges of attempted second degree murder and aggravated assault.
Police say their investigation is continuing.
