Knoxville murder suspect arrested in Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA (WATE) - A man wanted for the murder of a South Knoxville teen was arrested by officers in Chattanooga on Tuesday evening.

Police say Jamar Laquinn Frazier, 25, was arrested by U.S. Marshals and brought back to Knoxville on a charge of first degree murder.

He was staying with a girlfriend at the time of his arrest.

Frazier was wanted for the July 3rd shooting death of Christopher Melton. Melton's body was discovered near Hialeah Apartments.

Frazier is being held on a $500,000 bond.
