BEAN STATION (WATE) - Grainger County sheriff's deputies arrested a Kingsport man Wednesday as the suspect in a woman's rape.
A 31-year-old woman said a man drove to a secluded location in Bean Station and raped her.
Officers searched for the suspect's vehicle and caught Rickey Dean Sellers, 53, in a traffic stop. He had Schedule III and Schedule IV narcotics in his possession, according to the sheriff's office.
Sellers is charged with aggravated rape and felony narcotics possession.
The woman was injured and treated by medical personnel.
Sellers is being held in the Grainger County Jail. He's scheduled to be arraigned on August 6.
