Thousands of children's beach chairs recalled because of laceration hazard

Posted:

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WATE) - Thousands of children's beach chairs are being called because of dangerous sharp metal rivets.

Those rivets pose a laceration hazard. There has been one report of a child requiring stitches.

Downeast Concepts in Yarmouth, Maine made the chairs. They were sold at retailers nationwide, including Home Goods, from June 2011 through this June for between $13 and $25.

Additional information about the recall is posted on the Consumer Product Safety Commission website.
