KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A lawsuit has been filed in the deadly hit and run that claimed three lives in May.
Greg Isaacs, the attorney representing Elbia Hercules, filed a wrongful death lawsuit Friday on behalf of his client. Her husband, Nelzon Soto, and Chasity Thornell were killed last May in a hit-and-run crash on Washington Pike in Knoxville.
Thornell's unborn child also died in the crash.
Curtis Harper, 22, has been accused of being the driver at the time of the wreck. He faces several charges, including vehicular homicide, DUI and tampering with evidence, in the wreck.
The $10 million wrongful death suit names Harper and Harper's parents, who own the Ford Explorer he was driving.
The suit also names The Hill bar located on Forest Avenue, claiming servers at The Hill sold Harper alcohol the night of the crash even though he was clearly drunk.
