Lenoir City swimmer Claire Donahue to compete for gold

LONDON, England (WATE) - Lenoir City swimmer Claire Donahue will compete for the gold medal in the woman's 100-meter butterfly at the 2012 Olympic Games.

Donahue finished fourth in her heat at the semifinals on Saturday with the fifth overall fastest time to put her in the finals. She finished with a time of 57.42, her personal best.

Donahue's teammate Dana Vollmer had the fastest women's qualifying time, setting both an American and Olympic record time of 56.36.

Both will compete for a gold medal in the finals on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
