ROGERSVILLE (WATE) - Three drug related arrests were made Friday as a result of a partnership between the Hawkins County Sheriff's Department and local industries.

Deputies arrested three men near Cooper Standard Plant in the Phipps Bend Industrial Park on charges of possession of various illegal controlled substances and paraphernalia, including marijuana, synthetic marijuana and prescription medication.

Jared Trey Housewright, 22, Justin Lyn Carpenter, 20, and Jacob Allyn Sims, 20, were all arrested. Carpenter and Sims are currently being held at the Hawkins County Jail, while Housewright is free on bond.

Sheriff Ronnie Lawson said in a press release that the arrests resulted from cooperative efforts between the sheriff's department and industries at the plant. The release did not specifically indicate whether the three individuals charged were employed at any of companies in the industrial park.

Tweleve businesses make up Phipps Bend Industrial Park, situated on 550 acres in east Hawkins County.
