ALCOA (WATE) - Frontier Airlines is tapering off its service from Knoxville to Denver, according to McGhee Tyson Airport spokeswoman Becky Huckaby.
The last flight is on December 9.
Frontier will immediately begin to decrease from the current four flights per week.
Huckaby says the airport anticipates the flights will come back in spring as a seasonal destination.
Current ticket holders will be contacted by the airline if their flight is affected.
Frontier still has service from Knoxville to Orlando.
United Airlines also offers non-stop flights from Knoxville to Denver.
