MADISONVILLE (WATE) - A Madisonville man was killed Tuesday night in a wreck on a Monroe County road.
Christopher Crowder, 41, died when he was ejected from his car in the wreck on Griffith Branch Road near Ballplay Road.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol says Crowder lost control of his pickup truck just before 10:30 p.m. and ran off the side of the road. When he overcorrected his steering the truck flipped over and hit an embankment.
Crowder died at the scene.
Officers say a seat belt would likely have made a difference in the crash.
