CLINTON (WATE) - Republican Terry Frank won the Anderson County mayor's race over another newcomer, Democrat Warren Gooch.
Frank claimed 58 percent of the vote compared to Gooch's 42 percent.
Anderson County Election Results
At stake was a special two-year term that opened when longtime Mayor Rex Lynch resigned in January 2011 and pleaded guilty three months later to tax fraud.
Interim Mayor Myron Iwanski chose to run for his old seat on the county commission.
