KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A former Knoxville police officer, who faced a felony charge for threatening an assistant district attorney, pleaded guilty Thursday to a lesser charge.

Donald Scott Clark pleaded guilty to charges of harassment by electronic means, a misdemeanor.

He was given a suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days, put on supervised probation and ordered to pay court costs, but not fined.

Clark is already on probation for his conviction of providing alcohol to a teen.

He was accused of threatening the ADA in that case, Steve Sword, on his Facebook page and originally charged with retaliation for past action.

Sword is now a Knox County Criminal Court judge.
