CARYVILLE (WATE) - A second lane on Interstate 75 southbound opened to traffic Thursday in Campbell County.

Traffic has been affected in that area since a landslide occurred near mile marker 143 on March 8.

While the Tennessee Department of Transportation continues repairs, starting on Monday, August 6, one lane on I-75 northbound will be closed on weekday mornings and afternoons. However, it will be restored to two lanes nightly and on weekends.

TDOT says all work at the project is expected to be finished the week of August 13. It originally had a completion date of September 28.
