WASHINGTON, D.C. (WATE) - Nearly 800-thousand dehumidifiers are being recalled because they could catch fire.

The Kenmore brand dehumidifiers sold at Sears and K-Mart can overheat, smoke, melt and catch on fire, posing fire and burn hazards. There have been over 100 incidents reported with more than $7 million dollars in property damage.

The dehumidifiers were sold from 2003 to 2009 for between $140 and $220. The model numbers have been posted on the Consumer Product Safety Commission website.
