KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Crews put out a fire at a home in East Knoxville.
Dispatchers said they got the call at 9:15 Sunday morning. Crews were dispatched to a home on the 3700 block of Speedway Circle.
Officials say a man staying in the home woke up to find smoke filling his house. That's when he jumped out of the bedroom window to escape the flames. The man was not hurt but was taken to UT Medical Center for observation.
Arson investigators are looking into the cause of the fire.
