MARYVILLE (WATE) - The Blount County Sheriff's Office arrested four people and issued 52 citations during a saturation effort on August 3.
The arrest charges include DUI, driving on a revoked license and public intoxication.
The sheriff's office also released a breakdown of the citations:
- Speeding - 26
- No insurance - 8
- Registration violation - 8
- No seatbelt - 2
- No driver's license - 1
- Driving on a suspended license - 1
- Other - 6
Six deputies worked 60 hours from 4:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
The zone where they worked includes south of Sevierville Road and east of Montvale Road.
All three fatalities in Blount County this year have been in this patrol zone and none of the victims were wearing seatbelts.
In addition, 23 percent of the crashes so far this year were in this zone.
