LAFOLLETTE (WATE) - A man is dead after drowning Monday in Campbell County.
Officials with the Campbell County Sheriff's Office say Robert Thomas III, 47, was swimming in the Shady Cove area of Norris Lake with when he slipped off a tube and fell into the water.
He was under water for a short time before being pulled back to shore where witnesses performed CPR.
Thomas was taken to Tennova Medical Center in LaFollette where he was pronounced dead.
