National Night Out brings police, citizens together to fight crime

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Knox County is joining dozens of neighborhoods across the country Tuesday for National Night Out, an event intended to raise crime and drug prevention awareness.

This is the 29th year for the event.

National Night Out is also designed to strengthen community and police partnerships to prevent crime.

Fourteen neighborhoods in Knox County are taking part locally, as are other communities in East Tennessee.

Most activities will be held between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m. and will end before 10:00 p.m.

The Knox County events are being held at:

  • Stewart Ridge Subdivision, Halls, 4501 Nathan Drive
  • Sunchase Apts., North Cedar Bluff Road, Clubhouse
  • South Pointe Subdivision, Maryville Pike at Tipton, South View Circle
  • Rockwell Farm Subdivision, Kingston Pike off Old Stage Road, poolhouse near the entrance
  • Cottingham Court Subdivision, off Northshore in Ebenezer, Cul-de-sac
  • Imperial Estates Subdivision, Karns off Emory Road, 7029 Regency Rd.
  • Lakewood Subdivision, off Westland, 1013 Bream Drive
  • Trails End Subdivision, off Middlebrook Pike behind Food City, pool
  • Autumn Ridge Subdivision, off Bluegrass Rd., Bayhill Ridge Way Cul-de-sac
  • Wallace Hills Subdivision, Halls off Hill Rd., 4600 Gillcrest Drive
  • Cove Ridge Subdivision, off Hardin Valley Road, pool on Wildflower Way
  • Woodland Trace/Sweetbriar, off Campbell Station, dead end of Woodland Trace
  • Morgan Place Subdivision, off Guinn Road, grassy area on Berry Hill
  • Reagan Landing Subdivision, off Hardin Valley Road, pool park on Clover Ridge
