KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Comcast is laying off 52 people at its Knoxville call center.
The move is set to begin later in August and be complete by late September.
Comcast says the company is closing its inbound sales queue and shifting those calls to Nashville.
The affected workers are being encouraged to apply for 32 open positions.
After the cuts, Comcast says it will have 291 workers at its Knoxville customer center.
