KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A federal grand jury returned a two count indictment Tuesday against two Corryton men accused in the armed robbery of a Powell pharmacy.

Kevin Andrew Beets, 29, and Ulysses Van Keys, 30, are accused of using a shotgun to rob the CVS at 417 E. Emory Road on August 5.

The sheriff's office said the pair fled in a car and wrecked on Fountain City Road at Rifle Range. Keys was trapped in the vehicle while Beets ran on foot.

Officers caught Beets with help of a Knoxville Police Department K-9. The shotgun and medication were recovered at the scene.

If convicted, Beets and Keys face up to 20 years in prison for the robbery and seven years up to life for using a firearm during a violent crime.

Keys has a lengthy criminal in Knox County involving drug charges.
