POWELL (WATE) - Officers are looking for the man who robbed a Powell motel at gunpoint Wednesday night.
The Super 8 Motel at 323 East Emory Road was robbed at 9:44 p.m. Wednesday.
The Knox County Sheriff's Office said the robber came in the lobby, pulled out a black handgun, demanded money and threatened to shoot.
After an employee gave him cash, the robber left in a maroon Dodge Durango going westbound toward Blueberry Road.
The suspect is described as approximately 5'8" and 180 pounds with brown hair, appearing to be between 35-45 years old.
