KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A lightning strike during a storm Thursday afternoon hit a West Knox County home and started a fire.

Rural/Metro responded around 2:30 p.m. to a house on Lady Slipper Lane, off Watt Road.

Firefighters put out the blaze, but the lightning strike and fire damaged the attic and the roof.
