CROSSVILLE (WATE) - Three people were charged Friday in a Crossville counterfeiting case.

Detectives tracked counterfeit money for a month in banks, businesses like gas stations, convenience stores and restaurants and at the World's Longest Yard sale.

Police say Wesley McGhee, 23, of Crossville, is suspected of making $10 and $20 bills. He's charged with one count of criminal simulation. Other state charges are pending, along with possible federal charges.

Ronald Stephen Thacker, 47, of Crossville, is suspected of converting 5.00 bills into $50s. He's charged with two counts of criminal simulation.

Detectives say they found a printer, computer, and cleaning materials used for laundering money, as well as a laundered $5.00 bill when they arrested Thacker. He was also arrested in 2009 for the same crime in Crossville.

Sara D. Bennett, of Rockwood, was arrested Friday in Roane County as a suspect who passed converted $50 bills. She's charged with one count of criminal simulation.
