KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Knoxville police say they are following several leads in a carjacking that happened Sunday night in the parking lot of an East Knoxville pharmacy.
Police say an employee of the Walgreens at 4423 Asheville Hwy. was approached by two black males at 10:15 p.m. as she was leaving work. One showed her a semi-automatic handgun and demanded the keys of her car.
The suspects fled west on Asheville Highway in her car.
The victim told police the suspects appeared to be younger than 20 years of age, thin and average height.
Both suspects were wearing white shorts. One was wearing a white and red ball cap and dark shirt, and the other was wearing a red shirt.
Police are asking for help in finding the victim's blue four-door Saturn Ion with Tennessee tag 628-NKX. There is a dent on the rear bumper.
