MORRISTOWN (WATE) - Services are scheduled for Morristown city Councilman Claude Jinks. The 80-year-old councilman died Friday at age 80 from complications of a lingering illness.
The family will receive friends twice Monday at First Baptist Church in Morristown, from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. and from 5:00–7:00 p.m. The funeral follows at the church at 7:00.
The graveside service is Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.
Jinks, a Morristown native, enlisted in the Marines in 1951 and served during part of the Korean War. At one point, he ran his own business, Jinks Home Improvement.
He was first elected to city council in 1995.
