KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A Knox County high school teacher won't be back in class after he was accused of inappropriate conduct with a student.

Officials say Jeff Wilson resigned from teaching at Fulton High School on July 25.

Wilson taught electrical and HVAC studies. He was placed on administrative leave in May.

The police department says its investigation of Wilson has been handed over to the district attorney's office.
