KNOXVILLE (WATE) - The first day of school for students in Knox County was a little less troublesome for police and motorists Tuesday.
Officers issued 118 citations to drivers who were caught speeding or violating other driving-related offenses in a school zone.
That number is down from last year.
Police say they plan to be out in force again Wednesday.
