CLINTON (WATE) - An apartment fire in Clinton Wednesday morning affected eight units.
The fire was at Ridgetop Apartments, 813 Rogers Street. The apartments are run by Ridgeview, a private, non-profit community mental health center.
The Clinton Fire Department was already at the scene when American Red Cross volunteers arrived at 2:30 a.m.
The Red Cross arranged for temporary housing for the fire victims at a motel in Clinton.
The residents are expected to be able to return home Wednesday, except for one resident who's moving into temporary housing.
