OAK RIDGE (WATE) - A Y-12 National Security Complex guard has been terminated and others disciplined after a security breach.

Courtney Henry, a spokesperson for WSI-Oak Ridge, said Sunday the guard was fired after three peace protestors broke into the nuclear weapons plant and vandalized the grounds.

WSI-Oak Ridge is the security contractor for the nuclear production facility.

Michael Walli, 63, of Washington, D.C.; Sister Megan Rice, 82, of Nevada; and Greg Boertje-Obed, 57, of Duluth, Minn., are members of a movement called "Transform Now Plowshares."

They cut through four barbed wire fences on June 28 and vandalized a building at the Highly Enriched Uranium Materials Facility. The trio hung banners, spray-painted and splashed human blood on the building.

An indictment against Rice, Walliand and Boertje-Obed includes misdemeanor trespassing malicious destruction of property, a felony.

The three defendants have pleaded not guilty.
