ATHENS (WATE) - A woman was convicted of murder Saturday in McMinn County court for the death of a man she beat after stealing his car.

Angela Greene was found guilty of the first degree murder of Robert Gravely, 70, nearly three years after his death.

Following a two-day trial, the jurors deliberated for four hours before returning their verdict.

Greene was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole.

She was convicted of stealing Gravely's car, assaulting him and leaving him to die on November 6, 2009. Two days later, Gravely died of complications related to hypothermia.

Greene is scheduled to be back in court on November 9 to be sentenced for her other convictions of aggravated assault and theft over $1,000.
