Talbott couple agrees to pay back $25,000 to youth sports league

DANDRIDGE (WATE) - A Talbott couple who admitted stealing funds from a youth sports league will pay back $25,000 as part of a plea agreement.

Jerry Lee South, 45, and Connie Ann South, 37, of Ingram Heights Road, each received five-year sentences suspended to supervised probation.

They pleaded guilty on August 13 to theft over $10,000, a Class C felony, and were ordered to pay $12,500 within 90 days.

The couple is also banned from English Mountain and Talbott football and cheerleading activities.

They are not allowed to hold any position giving them access to the finances of a charitable or civic organization.
