KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Interstate 40 near the 17th Street and Western Avenue exit was a trouble spot for motorists and emergency crews Monday morning with traffic tie ups during rush hour.
Several vehicles wrecked around 8:30 a.m. All but one lane of eastbound traffic was blocked, slowing down traffic to a crawl.
There is no word yet on possible injuries from the wreck or how it started.
Earlier Monday morning a car burst in flames near the same location, causing drivers to slow down as they passed.
