GATLINBURG (WATE) - Crews will be working over nights this week to finish road projects in the Smokies ahead of Labor Day.
The work is focusing on the Gatlinburg Bypass and a section of Newfound Gap Road near the Sugarlands Visitor Center.
The bypass will close each night at 7 p.m. and reopening at 7 a.m.
Newfound Gap Road goes down to one lane traffic at the same time.
The work starts Wednesday and should wrap up by Saturday, but the Park Service said weather delays could stretch the project into the holiday weekend.
