NASHVILLE (AP) - Nashville Fire Department officials are investigating a woman's claims that she and other women stripped for money at a fire hall and also had sex with firefighters for money there. But they say firefighters won't be charged by police.
According to a news release from the Metro Police Department, an unnamed 23-year-old woman told police about the prostitution and also said she might have been drugged at firefighter Jason Copeland's home.
But police say the woman's statements are inconsistent.
During the investigation, police found that two friends of the woman were trying to extort Copeland.
Ray Dontrell Johnson and Cortez Deonte Smith were arrested and charged with extortion after they retrieved money on Tuesday that was placed in an undercover vehicle as part of a sting.
