KNOXVILLE (WATE) - People are stepping forward to help bring the body of a four-year-old home to his family in Knoxville.
Caleb Shermer passed away Thursday in Springfield, Illinois from complications related to mono.
Caleb's family says Fraker Funeral Home in Kingston is handling the transportation and funeral without a charge. A private donor is paying for some other funeral expenses.
The family says they're grateful for the help.
If you'd like to donate, Oakwood Baptist Church has set up a fund at Home Federal Bank on Maynardville Highway. It's called Caleb Shermer funeral expenses.
