KNOXVILLE (WATE) - The football field and a field house at Knoxville Catholic High School were vandalized prior to its game against Farragut High School Saturday.

The football field was covered in hundreds of plastic cups and a field house was sprayed painted with the words, "Go Farragut!"

Though it could be a prank, some say the vandals should be held responsible.

"If they're caught, they should be held accountable. And I wouldn't expel them or anything. I'd make them come and clean the field," said Neal Long, a Knoxville Catholic High School alumnus.

The Catholic High School Athletic Director did not want to comment on the incident, and Knox County Schools did not have any information about it.
